Snow In Texas February 2011

Here in the DFW area - we got a nice wintry mix sometime around like 3am or something (if i remember correctly on Feb.1.  For the following 3 days we got some more preciptition on and off, (mostly off) snow, ice, frozen rain, whatever.... Needless tosay - most people were in fact iced in.... people didnt come and go, ice were very slick. there were many car accidents... and so on. so i didnt have to go to work, so i pretty much just stayed indoors... for four days... i was very much ready to get out.

saturday i got out, and saw this fountain.

Texas Winterland

North Texas got some odd weather... something that we havent seen for 20 year (or something, depending on who you talk to)
it didnt reach above 25degrees for 3 days.
Needless to say, we got a mix of snow, ice, freezing rain... (yuck)  a big slippery mess. it came on monday night /early tues morn, it is STILL sticking, roads are slick in some spots. my steps outside are frozen solid... last night from midnight to 2am it snowed got a few inches, then this morning it snowed for a few more hours, along with this afternoon. not sure how many inches we got... but it was SOOO pretty.
I went out, took some photos. As soon as i findmy cord to my camera, ill post photos :)
tomorrow its supposed to warm up, then sunday is the Super bowl. we'll see. maybe take some photos of happenings around town with that, since the Super Bowl is being held right here. ...

NEW CAMERA!

Got a new camera a few weeks ago (yess!!)
its a Nikon D70 . love it--- still trying to figure it out -- but over all i love it.

Im currently uploading photos that i've taken over the past few weeks - so ill go through them, and will post some of my "masterpieces"
haha.

No Camera

Well the reason for my lack of blogging is due to the fact that my camera was amongst the things that were stolen in my apt in August. So until i can afford a new camera, this blog may be empty with no new posts.
I hope to get one in the next month or so (hope that prices can go down when they are preparing for the christmas season.)
So, everyone... stay patient... :) Ill be back soon.

So the family that I orginally was planning on taking pictures of, decided to take a rain check, not everyone was going to be in town, apparently. So... Emily & Adam offered their time to help me out... it was a gorgeous day out... despite the wind... got some good shots of Emily with the wind blowing through her hair... ok, so these photos are unedited... guess you can say that these are just a preview for later :-) thank you Emily and Adam for your time, i hope we can do it again :-)
